I was mortified when I first saw "Trash the Dress", I just couldn't wrap my head around it (and still can't). "Cherish the Dress" is a much nicer idea, and as I understand doesn't cost anywhere near the price of wedding photos. Perhaps a nice first wedding anniversary present to each other?? I have a real weakness for roses, so that's what I chose for my wedding but unfortunately they didn't turn out exactly how I wanted them. Be very specific with your florist (I thought I was, I even had a picture). I wanted open, rustic looking roses in a colour called metalina (like a coffee colour), a soft purple/lavender and cream, instead I got partially closed buds in colours brighter than I wanted (the cream roses looked almost yellow!) They did look lovely in the photos but when they arrived in the morning I said "they aren't my flowers!". I was married in August and had a plan B for the ceremony and photos. Thankfully the weather was fine but it really calmed my nerves knowing that I didn't have to worry about rain.
